Design & Technology
At Kingsway Infant School, Design and Technology is a creative, practical and exciting subject where children are encouraged to explore, design, make and evaluate through hands-on learning. Our D&T curriculum develops children’s creativity, problem-solving and technical skills through engaging projects linked to real-life experiences. In EYFS, learning is inspired by the Expressive Arts and Design area of the EYFS Framework, where children safely explore materials, tools and techniques through imaginative and play-based activities. As children progress through the school, they build confidence, resilience and curiosity while learning how to design purposeful products, work collaboratively and think innovatively before evaluating their products against their plans and criteria.
