PE & Sports Premium

IMG_8865.JPG

At Kingsway Infant School, we're committed to helping all our pupils be healthy, active and develop a lifelong love of sport and physical activity.

The government provides additional funding to primary schools to improve and enhance PE and sport provision. This funding – called the PE and Sport Premium – is provided jointly by the Department for Education, Health, Culture, Media and Sport.

How we use our funding

We use the PE and Sport Premium to make sustainable improvements to our PE, sport and physical activity provision. Our priorities include:

  • Increasing staff confidence, knowledge and skills in teaching PE and sport

  • Ensuring all pupils engage in regular physical activity

  • Raising the profile of PE and sport across our school

  • Offering a broad range of sports and physical activities to all pupils

  • Increasing participation in competitive sport

Below you'll find detailed information about:

  • How much funding we received

  • How we've spent it

  • The impact on our pupils' participation and attainment in PE and sport

  • How we're making sure these improvements are sustainable

Please note:

The DfE is launching a new PE and school sports partnership network, which will replace the PE and sport premium – set to be in place from spring 2027.
