Art
At Kingsway Infant School, art is a vibrant, creative and inspiring subject where children are encouraged to explore, experiment and express themselves through a wide range of exciting experiences. Linked to the National Curriculum, our art curriculum develops children’s creativity, imagination and artistic skills through drawing, painting, sculpture and mixed media activities. In EYFS, learning is rooted in the Expressive Arts and Design area of the EYFS Framework, where children safely explore colours, textures, materials and techniques through playful, hands-on learning. We aim to make art fun and engaging for every child, helping them to build confidence, curiosity and pride in their creative achievements while developing an appreciation of artists and the world around them.
